Below you will find the horses we currently have listed for sale. If you are in the market for something specific or do not find exactly what you are looking for, feel free to give us a call. We may have a horse in that would be a fit but just isn't listed yet.
LL Hibrow Hickory 09 “Bodie” is a 12yr old, 14.3hh, 1175#, AQHA gelding that is finished as they come when it comes to ranching. This gelding is solid in every shape, form, and fashion and is one of the nicest ones we have ever thrown a leg over. Bodie also has impecible, old school breeding. He is a grandson of High Brow Hickory (sired earners of over $5million) and is out of a Capitol Letters mare who is by the great Doc’s J Jay who was the #1 rodeo horse siring son of Doc Bar.
Bodie has literally drug thousands of calves, has sorted and doctored more cattle than most of us have ever seen, loaded trucks, and probably knows how to ranch better than most. This is a horse you can take to the pasture all year long and he’s going to know how to do everything you need him to. He’s sound, sane, big, and pretty with about as old school of breeding as you can get. Not to mention his breeder has been his only owner until us. Bodie was started correctly and is very light and easy to ride. You can sit him down and roll him over his hocks wherever you please and he’ll lope right out of his tracks. He’ll cow up and cut one just like he’s bred to do but hasn’t ever been shown.
Although he’s not a finished arena horse, he’d be very easy to go show or you could back him in the box to heel or breakaway rope off of without any problem because he’s just that broke. Although Bodie is gentle, we won't suggest him for a beginner rider because he does have some fancier buttons. However if you're comfortable in the saddle and with a horse of his calibeer, there should be no reason you wouldn't get along with him. Bodie acts like agentleman should on the ground and has no issues with saddling, bridling, bathing, trailering, the farrier, etc..
He is priced accordingly to what he is in the five figures. Please call if you are a serious buyer to discuss him further.
Videos will be taken when Texas stops flooding.
Roman Nose San "Kip" is a 9yr old, 15.2hh, AQHA registered gelding. Kip is as good looking as they come and is very easy to get along with. If you have a basic knowledge of riding, you can get along with Kip.
Kip has been day worked on pretty much his whole life. He's been used both outside as well as in the sale barns. Kip can cut a cow and there’s nothing in the pasture you can’t rope off of him. Outside he is brave and is willing to do whatever you ask of him. This horse will be your partner till the work is done and will take care of you. Kip is also finished on the head side. He is quiet in the box, leaves flat, and pulls by the horn. He'll stay sane whether you rope one or twenty off of him and has the speed to be competitive for a higher number but enjoys roping the lopers all the same.
Kip is very level-headed and has always proved to be a safe mount. To put it in perspective, after roping three pens of fresh steers I held my 6wk old son while still riding him and had no worries that Kip would move or that he might do something to put us in harm even with others still roping right behind us. He is very smooth to ride and will travel out on a loose rein and not have to be constantly checked up. This horse will fit anyone that is just wanting an enjoyable gelding to ride, someone needing a horse to put in long hours on the ranch, or someone wanting to go win a check in the roping pen.
Kip has been sound and healthy his whole life. Only blemish is an old scar on his hind ankle that happened while working in the sale barn. Cut was superficial and was sound on it even right after it happened and has stayed sound on it no matter the amount of use.
Kip is consigned to the Anderon County Horse Sale happening June 19th in Elkhart, Tx. Online bidding is available through LMA Auctions. Online bidders must be pre-registered to bid 48hrs prior to the sale. The previews will begin at 10am with the sale following at 2pm.
