Cricket is a 16yr old, 16.1hh, tattooed AQHA gelding. This is a phenomenal gelding that we have all fallen absolutely in love with. His mannerisms, abilities, personality, and good looks.. There's nothing to not love about him.
Cricket is a FINISHED pick-up and head horse.
This gelding has seen thousands of miles traveling to 100s of PRCA rodeos, including the NFR several times, to be used as a pick-up horse. He has a lot of guts and does not shy away if things start to get a little hairy.
When Cricket is not being used as a pick-up horse, he's winning checks backing into the head box. He is a powerful gelding but is user friendly making him the perfect mount for any number roper. He has no box issues, scores well, and has a lot of pull. He takes mistakes well too. If you miss your dally, you can easily put him right back where he needs to be so you can have a clean run.
Cricket is tattooed but the papers were never given. He has been with the same man since he was 4yrs old. We have attempted to decipher his tattoo with the help of AQHA but to no avail so he will be selling grade. He has an in-your-pocket attitude and is quiet as a church mouse on Sunday on the ground. He's good for the farrier, and stands for bathing/clipping/saddling/and mounting. This gelding is 100% in every way. He has had his hocks and stifles injected once a year for the last two years however only as preventative maintenance.
