Yes, we do obviously do this as a career. “This” is selling and training horses. However, when buying through us, you can buy with confidence because if we didn’t like them, they wouldn’t be with us. We are a quality-over-quantity business. You won’t find 20 horses standing around to be sold with us. What you’ll find is a select few that have proven they are worth owning for a lifetime. All horses get put to the test. Not the test your typical “trader” puts them through which consists of a 10-minute ride to deem what the horse knows so it can be shuffled to the next person. Our horses get used, hauled, and allowed the appropriate amount of time to show us what they’re truly made of. Some horses have been with us for well over a year even. The horses sold by and through us are also typically ones we have known for an extensive amount of time prior, or we know their story from the start so there are no guesses as to the quality of the horse we are presenting to the public.
-Every horse sold comes with a guarantee for as long as you own them.
You are welcome to send them back for a 30-day tune-up at no cost to you. We just ask that you supply the hay/feed. This applies whether you buy privately or through an auction. Why do we do this? Because we know life can happen. Although no horse has ever needed to come back for a tune-up, we understand that there may be a time when the horse sits for a while and you’re uncomfortable making the first ride back.
-All horses can be purchased with cash or a wire transfer.
We do not do PayPal. We do not take money orders. We do not take any checks. We understand that oftentimes a check is easier, but unfortunately, after having numerous hot checks written we decided to do away completely with accepting them as payment.
-All horses sold privately come with current Coggins, a bill of sale, and any other necessary paperwork like registration papers. If a health certificate is needed, that is the responsibility of the buyer to cover the expense. If needed, a bale of our hay can be sent with the horse for $30 so they can easily transition to their new diet. Any information such as bit, blanket size, girth size, farrier history, or basic health care information will be provided as well.
-Coming to try a horse or getting a PPE done is always welcomed. We want to pair the horse with the rider that best fits them and vice versa. We are pretty good judges based on talking with you and since we know each horse in-depth, but coming to try a horse is always the best way to go about things. Many horses of ours have had a prior flexion test, especially if they’re in a sale and we are absolutely willing to give the full details of any findings if a flex test has already been done. Expenses incurred from a PPE or any other testing a buyer requests are the responsibility of the buyer.
-If you are out of state and need a horse transported, we may be able to haul it ourselves or we have a list of reputable haulers we can provide to you. Hauling expenses are the buyer's responsibility. We like to make our own hauls just to meet the buyers if bought sight unseen and to ensure the horses are well cared for throughout the trip. If we are unable to, we have a list of reputable haulers you can shop from. All we have used previously and have had great experiences with. You are welcome to provide your own hauler as well.
